You are invited to explore the exciting world of video at Skagit Valley College!
The MIT Department has established two online classes to improve your skills in digital videography and video editing through Adobe Premiere Pro CC. MIT-227 and MIT-212 will give you excellent hands-on experience.
Learn how to create scripts, shot lists and storyboards. Discover how to capture and edit entertaining, well-focused video. Become a pro with Premiere Pro CC, and learn how to create a masterpiece with this powerful non-linear editing system.
A 30-credit Digital Video Certificate is also offered for those of you who are interested. Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete the following: MIT 125, 199, 212, 213, 226, 227, 280, and SOSC 113. This certificate is available entirely online.
You don’t have to own or purchase a high-end camcorder for the Digital Videography class. Do you have a cell phone or mobile device that takes video? How about a point-and-shoot camera? Many DSLR cameras take excellent video. Do you have a pocket-size Flip camera stored away? MIT-227 is more about the craft than the equipment, so these devices are all acceptable.
Many of you already have access to Premiere Pro CC as part of your Adobe Cloud subscription; and this would be a great opportunity to learn how to operate this software like a master.
